PHASE 1 - DAY 1

DAY 1
I was diagnosed with leukemia a week ago. Shocked? Yes. Realistically optimistic to be cured? Yes. Understanding that I face a really tough 2 to 4 months? Dawn and I are ready.
I am just finishing the 2nd round of chemo in Sherman Hospital tonight.
Some friends who had been on their own cancer journey before helped me a couple years ago when I was 100% cured of B Cell Lymphoma. So I want to blog here in hopes that this may help someone in your family or a friend who has been there or may follow a similar path in the future.
Nothing in life is more important than your friends, family, prayer and strong faith.
Dawn and I know you are with us through all the next turns, road blocks and green lights. I want to tell you about the good reports, experiences with hospital and caregivers and the funny things too.
If I didn't include somebody...please pass this along and let them know I want to include them.

Friday morning I checked in. You know how that is with meeting, poking, paperwork, instructions. First treatment round started at 11pm so I was busy a lot of the night. Got all my stuff set up nicely and feeling pretty good.
We love you,
Bob and Dawn
