Journey Overview
Chapter 1
· February 27 and 28 – 2 Days
· Sherman Hospital for a routine test where it was discovered I had a White Blood Cell count of 57,000. More than 10 times normal.
· This indicates that I may have leukemia
Chapter 2
· March 1 to 4 - Home
· Meeting and tests with Dr. Singh confirms leukemia.
Chapter 3
· March 5 to April 6 – 31 Days
· Admitted to Sherman Hospital for Induction Chemotherapy
· Several bone marrow biopsies
Chapter 4
· April 7 to May 25 – Home
· Sherman Hospital for Round 1 of Consolidation Chemotherapy
· CBC’s 3 times a week at my oncologists office
Chapter 5
· May 26 to May 30 – 6 Days
· Sherman Hospital for Round 2 of Consolidation Chemotherapy
· Includes chemo therapy 6 times in 5 ½ days
Chapter 6
· May 31 to June 9 – Home
Chapter 7
· June 10 to June 21
· Sherman Hospital
o Very low’s CBC’s
o Bacterial infection
o Cloudy lungs
Chapter 8
· June 22 until June 26 – Home
Chapter 9
· June 26 to July 13
· Back in the hospital again because the infection is still not under control.
· I had a lot more tests including x-rays, CT scans and Broncoscopy in order to determine what is causing the infection.
They put me on 5 different antibiotics which have really made me low on energy and enthusiasm.
Chapter 10

- Home again on July 13 with oxygen, a portable IV dispenser and 4 antibiotics.
